our mission
Our Mission is to build faithful disciples and to serve Jesus Christ. The vision that we pray we are living toward is “to be a Family of believers in harmony with God’s Word that glorifies God.”
We take our role in the Body of Christ very seriously. We desire to minister to our community and the world.
We hope that the information found here will be helpful for visitors as well as members of Madison Methodist Church. However, our deepest concern is that each of you discover the love and presence of God in your own life.
A Brief church history
Madison Methodist Church (Madison MC) began in 1864! The first Sanctuary, built in 1930 was named the Susan L. Montgomery Memorial Church.
The present Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall were built in 1988 and the church’s name was changed to Madison United Methodist Church. The Montgomery Church building became the Chapel.
The Christian Life Center was completed in 1997, and in 2000, the adjacent Antique building was purchased and transformed into our Administrative offices. The Education Annex houses a library and meeting rooms, which are used for Sunday School classes and Scouts. Since 1990, Madison MC has also sponsored Preschool and After School Care programs, aligning with the local school year. In 2016, we completed the Education Building, which features a Kids Suite, Student Ministry Suite, Atrium, and a versatile Multi-Purpose Room for various events and activities.
Madison MC is a vital presence in the community dedicated to service to God and God’s people.
Membership is approximately 2,800.
